Emergency Management

Emergencies happen. Do you know what to do?

Oakland University has an extensive emergency operations plan and a Crisis Management Team in place to mitigate emergencies on campus.  Parts of the plan, pertinent to your safety, are outlined on this page. We encourage you to navigate through the different pages and familiarize yourself with what to do in certain situations. Trying to formulate a plan during an emergency will not work. Develop your own personal safety plan before an emergency happens.

When appropriate, the University will display emergency information on a banner at the top of the Oakland Homepage and all OU Police webpages. During normal operations this banner is not visible.
